Barbaresco Ovello Riserva

Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, high acidity, dry

Ovello is one of the nine single-cru Riservas the Produttori del Barbaresco cooperative bottles only in strong vintages, aged in large oak casks. From the northern end of the Barbaresco commune, it is one of the broadest and most muscular of the set: black cherry and plum, licorice and tar, with a dried-rose lift and a firm, earthy tannic frame. It is a powerful Barbaresco that needs patience and ages for decades.

Serving: Serve at 16–18 °C.
