Barbaresco Asili Riserva

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, high tannin, high acidity, dry

Asili is one of the most famous crus in Barbaresco, and the Produttori del Barbaresco cooperative bottles a single-cru Riserva from it only in strong vintages, aged in large oak casks. It is the most perfumed and refined of the set: red cherry and woodland berries, rose and orange zest, with a hint of sweet smoke, silky but persistent tannins and a long, fragrant finish. Elegant rather than massive, it ages gracefully for two decades.

Serving: Serve at 15–17 °C.
