Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, high acidity, dry

The Viti Vecchie Riserva is Ca' del Baio's selection from the oldest vines in Vallegrande, the estate's home cru in Treiso, aged at length in large oak. Old vines and Treiso's altitude give a deep yet fresh Barbaresco: black cherry and dried rose, licorice, tar and cocoa, with dense, ripe tannins and a long, spicy finish. Full-bodied at around 14.5% alcohol, it needs years to unwind and ages for two decades.

Serving: Serve at 16–18 °C.
