Barbaresco Pora

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, high tannin, high acidity, dry

Ca' del Baio's Pora comes from the cru of that name in the Barbaresco commune, near the Tanaro. It is a balanced, harmonious Barbaresco aged in large oak: red cherry and strawberry, rose and licorice, with herbal and spicy notes over fine, firm tannins and lively acidity. It is somewhat more approachable than the estate's Asili and drinks well over ten to fifteen years.

Serving: Serve at 15–17 °C.
