Allini Bio Prosecco Extra Dry

Tasting profile

Structure: light-bodied, medium acidity, off-dry

Allini is a Lidl label, and this is its organic Prosecco DOC: a Glera-based sparkling wine from north-east Italy, made from certified organic grapes. Despite the name, Extra Dry is a touch sweeter than Brut. A soft, rounded hint of sweetness frames green apple, pear, white peach and acacia blossom over a light, frothy mousse. Serve it well chilled as an aperitivo, or with prosciutto and melon, fried calamari, light antipasti or mild cheeses. Prosecco is all about youthful freshness, so drink it within a year or two of the vintage on the label.
