Sangiovese with Riserva bones — two years minimum ageing before release, and it shows in the integration. Sour cherry and red plum over leather, balsamic herb and tobacco, all held on the bright acid spine that makes Chianti such a natural with food. Tannin is firm and a little dusty. Excellent now alongside a meal, and it turns more savoury and cedary into the early 2030s as the fruit gives way.
