Gaja's most approachable Langhe red, a blend of Nebbiolo with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (roughly a third each in 2020), the Nebbiolo largely from Pajorè in Treiso and from Serralunga. Merlot softens the Nebbiolo grip and Cabernet adds frame: bright cherry and plum fruit with tar and violet lift and ripe, integrated tannins, built for earlier drinking than the estate's Barbaresco crus. Older vintages included Barbera.
