Tanca Farrà

Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

Tanca Farrà is a long-standing Alghero Rosso DOC from Sella & Mosca, the large estate near Alghero that pioneered Cabernet Sauvignon in Sardinia. It blends the island's Cannonau (Grenache) with Cabernet Sauvignon, roughly half and half in recent vintages, aged about two years in barrels of different sizes. Ripe red fruit and blackcurrant with Mediterranean myrtle, sweet spice and cedar, full and rounded. Serve at 16–18°C with roast pork or lamb, grilled meats or pecorino sardo.
