Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, high acidity, dry

La Spinetta's Langhe Nebbiolo is drawn from younger vines in the Rivetti family's Barbaresco vineyards, Starderi, Gallina and Bordini in Neive and Valeirano in Treiso, on calcareous marl. Fermented in rotofermenters and aged about a year in used French barriques, then a year in bottle before release. A polished, fruit-forward Nebbiolo: red cherry and raspberry with rose, violet and liquorice, a touch of sweet spice from the oak, fresh acidity and approachable, fine tannin.
