Le Cèdre de Beyrouth Premium

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

Le Cèdre de Beyrouth Premium is a red blend from Château Kefraya, one of the largest estates of Lebanon's Bekaa Valley, with terraced vineyards reaching around 1,000 metres. Syrah leads, with Cinsault and Cabernet Sauvignon, and in some vintages Carignan and Tempranillo as well: the 2022 is about 35% each of Syrah and Cinsault, with Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo making up the rest, at 13% alcohol. It gives juicy red and dark fruit with warm spice, tobacco and a herbal edge over soft, rounded tannins. An approachable, everyday Lebanese red for drinking within a few years of the vintage.

Serving: Serve at 15–17 °C.
