Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, medium acidity, dry

Château Kefraya's eponymous red, from vineyards on the western slopes of the Bekaa Valley at around a thousand metres, where hot days and cool nights keep the fruit fresh. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Mourvèdre in a Bordeaux-meets-Rhône register: cassis and dark plum over dried herbs, cedar and black pepper. Full-bodied with firm tannin, it sits above the estate's Bretèches and below its top wine, Comte de M.

Serving: Serve at 16–18 °C.
