One of Xavier Vignon's Arcane wines, a series of one-off cuvées named after the cards of the tarot. La Force is a Ventoux from high-altitude vineyards on the slopes of Mont Ventoux, Syrah-led with Grenache and a dash of white Viognier and Clairette, organically farmed. Ripe and powerful: black plum and blackberry with a lift of stone fruit from the white grapes, Sichuan pepper and warm spice. Full-bodied with supple, moderate tannin and a warm finish, made to enjoy in its youth.
