Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

Initial — Mas Amiel's Maury Sec, the dry red from the estate's schist slopes at Maury. Grenache with Syrah and Carignan: dark berries and kirsch over garrigue, crushed schist and warm spice, generous but with the mineral cut the black schist gives. Farmed organically and biodynamically on an estate better known for its fortified wines.
