Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

Vajra are among the Langhe's most respected traditionalists, and their Dolcetto is treated with the seriousness usually reserved for Nebbiolo — old vines at Vergne, high above Barolo, fermented and aged in stainless steel so nothing masks the fruit. Deep purple, with blackberry and dark plum over violet and the bitter-almond note that finishes almost every Piedmontese red. Medium-bodied, low in acidity for the region but with real tannic grip. The everyday wine of the Langhe, made properly.
