Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, high tannin, high acidity, dry
Crose is Colombera & Garella's Lessona, Nebbiolo from their own vines at about 350 metres on the ancient yellow marine sands of Lessona in Alto Piemonte. Fermented spontaneously in concrete and aged about two years in large used oak, then rested in cement. More austere, mineral and direct than the porphyry wines of Bramaterra: sour and dark cherry, rose and orange peel, a saline, sandy finesse and long, fine tannin under high acidity. Elegant and slow to open, with real aging potential.
