The Swartland's dry-farmed old bushvines on granite and schist give concentration without irrigation. Blackberry and dark plum with violet, black pepper, cocoa and a savoury fynbos-herb lift, full-bodied with ripe supple tannin. Rhône in construction and unmistakably Cape in flavour, and generous enough to open young.
