Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

Catena's "Appellation" Agrelo Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the family's historic Agrelo vineyard in Luján de Cuyo, at 950 m on alluvial soils with a clay topsoil over rounded stones. After a cold soak and a long post-fermentation maceration, it is aged 12 months in French oak, about a third of it new. It shows cassis and ripe red fruit with black pepper, clove and cedar, leather and tobacco notes emerging, and a bright finish with finely grained tannins.
