Atemporal is Alta Vista's Bordeaux-inspired Mendoza blend from its Albaneve estate vineyard in the Uco Valley: Malbec-led, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot (in a typical year about 60/30/10), aged around 12 months in French oak. The Malbec gives silky blackberry, plum and violet; the Cabernet adds structure; the Petit Verdot brings colour and spice. Expect pepper, cinnamon, liquorice and cedar over ripe, rounded tannins. Generous on release, and it keeps a few years.
