Sudisfà Roero Riserva

Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, high acidity, dry

Sudisfà is the flagship Roero Riserva of Angelo Negro & Figli in Monteu Roero, from a single Nebbiolo vineyard; it is one of the wines that put Roero's Nebbiolo on the map, with many Tre Bicchieri awards. Refined in steel and oak. Red fruit and jam with rose, vanilla, a peppery, herbal edge and liquorice, on sweet, velvety but firm tannins and fresh acidity. Roero's sandy soils give a more perfumed, earlier-opening Nebbiolo than Barolo, yet this is built for long ageing. Decant when young; serve at 16–18°C with braised meats, game or truffle dishes.

Serving: Serve at 16–18 °C.
