The most delicate and finely detailed of Terra Sancta's three single blocks — close-planted, and grown on limestone rather than the schist gravels that define most of Bannockburn, which is where its particular finesse comes from. Where Slapjack brings depth and Jackson's Block brings structure, this one works by precision: red-fruited and fragrant, with a fine-boned, almost transparent quality and a long, saline, mineral finish. Wild fermented with minimal intervention like its siblings, so the difference between the three is a matter of a few hundred metres of ground rather than of winemaking. Around 300 cases; James Suckling gave the 2024 99 points. Serve it cooler than the other two and treat it gently — it does not need a heavy decant.
