Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, high acidity, dry

Las Gundiñas is one of the single-vineyard Mencías in Raúl Pérez's La Vizcaína range, from old vines in Valtuille de Abajo, Bierzo, fermented with whole clusters and aged in used barrels. It is fresh and fragrant: red cherry and raspberry with violet, pepper, herbs and a stony note, on fine tannins and lively acidity. Delicious young and good for about a decade.
