Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium acidity, dry

La Rocca is Pieropan's single-vineyard Soave Classico from a limestone-and-clay slope beneath Soave castle, 100% Garganega picked late and fermented and aged in large oak casks. It is the richest of the estate's Soaves: yellow peach, pear and chamomile with almond, honey and a stony mineral finish, rounded but fresh. One of Italy's most age-worthy whites, it gains depth and honeyed complexity for a decade or more.
