Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry

Le Clos is one of Nicolas Jacob's parcel Chardonnays from the southern Jura, where he has worked since 2015 after training at Macle and with Ganevat; vines farmed with only copper, biodynamic teas and essential oils, fermented with native yeasts and raised in old barrels. Yellow apple and lemon with hazelnut, a light brioche note and a flinty, chalky line; topped-up and precise rather than oxidative.
