Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry

Là-Haut is Nicolas Jacob's Chardonnay from the highest, rockiest part of his L'Étoile vineyard, planted on marl in 1953, direct-pressed and aged for two years in old barriques and demi-muids. More linear and mineral than its sister Là-Bas from lower down the slope, with lemon, green apple and white flowers over flint and crushed stone and a light hazelnut finish.
