Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, high acidity, dry
Baudana is a Serralunga d'Alba cru, and Luigi Baudana's family estate there has been run by the Vajra family since 2009, who make its wines with the same traditional care as their own. The Barolo Baudana is pure Nebbiolo from the estate's vines in the cru, on Serralunga's limestone-rich marls. It is structured and deep: dark cherry and plum with rose, tar, liquorice and an iron-like savour, the firm, dense tannin typical of the commune and a long, high-acid finish.
Serving: Serve at 16–18 °C.
