Blanc de Noir

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, medium acidity, off-dry

A white wine from red grapes, from the HENRI range of Henri Badoux in Aigle, in the Chablais corner of Vaud. The Pinot Noir is pressed gently and quickly so the juice takes almost no colour, leaving a pale wine with white peach, red apple and pear and a faint wild-strawberry hint of its red origins. Around 13%, with a rounded, softly off-dry finish (roughly 12 g/l of residual sugar in recent vintages). Best young and chilled (8–10°C), as an aperitif, with lake fish or white meat, or with gently spiced dishes.
