Petit Vignoble

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, medium acidity, dry

Petit Vignoble is Henri Badoux's Chasselas from Yvorne, the Chablais cru on the warm scree slopes at the eastern end of Lake Geneva, often called the hottest terroir for Chasselas. Unoaked, aged in steel and large foudres. Lime blossom and ripe pear with yellow stone fruit, a hint of almond and a flinty, mineral finish. A touch rounder and riper than most Vaud Chasselas, around 13% alcohol. Falstaff rated the 2020 91 points. Serve at 8–10°C as an aperitif, with lake fish, fondue or raclette.
