Tasting profile
Structure: light-bodied, high acidity, dry
Mussantino is a frizzante from Fattoria La Vialla, the family-run organic and biodynamic farm near Arezzo in Tuscany, made from Pinot Noir, Trebbiano Toscano and Chardonnay. As a frizzante it has a gentler, softer sparkle than a fully sparkling spumante. As an Extra Brut it is properly dry, so the fruit comes through clean and refreshing: crisp apple, pear and lemon zest with a floral, faintly almondy edge. Serve it well chilled as an aperitivo, or alongside Tuscan antipasti, crostini, fritto misto and young pecorino. It is made for drinking young, within a year or two of the vintage, while it is at its liveliest.
