A snapshot of the whole estate in one bottle. Syrah always leads — usually around half — with Grenache, Mourvèdre and Tempranillo in regular support and cameos from Graciano, Zinfandel and Carignan depending on the year, drawn mostly from Paderewski with some Catapult and York Mountain fruit. It is assembled as a true field blend from fifteen or so separate harvest picks, fermented across concrete, French oak puncheons and one-ton bins, then given around seventeen months in French oak. Kalamata olive, leather, wet forest floor and roasted game open onto blackberry, black plum, tobacco, bay leaf, vanilla, anise and graphite, with a powerful structure that fills the mouth in all directions. Epoch call it the baby brother to Authenticity, Veracity and Ingenuity, but it earned 94 points from Wine Advocate on its own terms.
