Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, high acidity, dry

Donnachiara's Taurasi Riserva is the estate's top Aglianico, released only after the long oak and bottle ageing the Riserva rules require. Dense and earthy: black currant, plum and dark cherry over tobacco, leather and a mineral, loamy note, with powerful tannin and high acidity. A serious Campanian red that needs the best part of a decade from the vintage to come round and then ages for many years more.

Serving: Serve at 16–18 °C.
