Bastide

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

La Bastide is the organic entry red of Château Coupe-Roses at La Caunette in the Haut-Minervois, from clay-limestone vineyards at 200 to 350 metres. It is mainly Carignan and Grenache with a touch of Syrah, fermented and aged in stainless steel with no oak. Bright red cherry and raspberry with garrigue herbs, a graphite edge and a hint of leather, fresh acidity and soft tannins. A lively, unoaked Languedoc red that takes well to a slight chill and is made for drinking within a few years.
