Edition Noir Shiraz Pinot

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

A cool-climate New South Wales blend of Syrah and Pinot Noir from Cassegrain's Edition Noir range. Recent vintages drew the Syrah from Orange and the Pinot Noir from Rylstone, Canberra District and Hilltops fruit. It is medium-bodied, with black cherry and strawberry fruit, white-pepper spice and fine tannins, framed by a good spell in French oak. Its style recalls the old Hunter "Burgundy" blends.
