Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, high acidity, dry

Casanova di Neri's Brunello di Montalcino, the "white label", is the estate's classic Brunello: 100% Sangiovese from its holdings in the east and south-east of Montalcino, aged in large oak casks. Richer and more generous than traditional Brunello while keeping Sangiovese's grip: dark cherry and dried plum, with leather, tobacco, balsamic herbs and forest floor on firm tannin and bright acidity. It needs five or more years from the vintage to open and ages well for fifteen to twenty.
