Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry

Brolettino is Ca' dei Frati's oak-aged Lugana: Turbiana from calcareous clay on the southern shore of Lake Garda, picked fully ripe, fermented in steel and finished in barrique, where it also goes through malolactic and ages for several months. Ripe peach and yellow plum, almond and rose sit over a light vanilla note and a balsamic finish, while Turbiana's firm acidity keeps it fresh. It has more structure than the estate's I Frati and ages well for six to eight years.
