Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, high acidity, dry

Nebbiolo d'Alba from Bruno Giacosa, the Neive house famous for traditional Barbaresco and Barolo, from vineyards on the sandy hills of the Roero. A long maceration in steel, then about fourteen months in large French oak casks, never barrique. Classic, lighter-framed Nebbiolo: red cherry and raspberry with rose, orange peel, liquorice and herbs, fresh acidity and fine but present tannin. An approachable taste of the house style that also ages for several years.
