Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high acidity, dry

Bollinger's multi-vintage Blanc de Noirs, 100% Pinot Noir led by Verzenay (the "VZ") with Aÿ and neighbouring villages. It is a non-vintage cuvée: the 19 names the 2019 base harvest, blended with a large share of reserve wines including reserves aged in magnum. Part-fermented in old oak, it is vinous and structured, with red apple and red berry fruit, brioche and toasted almond from long lees ageing, and a firm chalky finish. A Champagne for the table rather than the aperitif.

Serving: Serve at 8–10 °C.
