Brut Gold is the signature non-vintage Champagne of Armand de Brignac, the house in the gold metal bottle, produced by the Cattier family in Chigny-les-Roses and now part-owned by LVMH. It blends Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from three vintages and is finished with a dosage from wine aged in French oak. Rich and generous, it shows brioche, baked apple and toasted almond with citrus zest and honey, a creamy mousse and moderate acidity. Made to be drunk on release, it holds and gains toasty notes for several years.
