Vietti was one of the houses that revived Arneis in the Roero in the 1960s and 70s, and this is their benchmark bottling. It is fermented in stainless steel and made for freshness. Expect ripe pear and white peach, white flowers and chamomile, with a gentle almond note on the finish. It is medium-bodied and dry, with enough acidity to stay lively without being sharp. Drink it within two or three years of the vintage, as an aperitif or with lighter Piedmontese dishes.
