Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

Tommasi's Graticcio Appassionato is a Rosso Veronese IGT made in the appassimento style: part of the Corvina, Rondinella and Merlot is dried on graticci (the traditional drying racks the wine is named after) to concentrate flavour before fermentation. It is a plush, rounded red of ripe and dried cherry, plum and raisin with cocoa, vanilla and a spicy finish, smooth tannins and a soft, generous texture. An easy, crowd-pleasing alternative to Ripasso for grilled meat, game and cheese.
