Ehrenhausen Korallenkalk

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry

Korallenkalk ("coral limestone") is Tement's village-level Sauvignon Blanc from Ehrenhausen in the Südsteiermark, grown on fossil-rich coralline limestone. Wild-fermented and aged 18 months on the lees in large neutral casks and steel, bottled unfiltered: white peach, lemon and yellow fruit with herbal savour and a chalky, lemony finish. A serious Sauvignon that rewards a few years in bottle.

Serving: Serve at 9–11 °C.
