Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Vigneto Monte Sant'Urbano

Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, medium acidity, dry

Speri's single-vineyard Amarone from the Monte Sant'Urbano hill in Fumane, at the heart of Valpolicella Classico, made from Corvina and Corvinone with Rondinella and a little Molinara. The grapes dry for around 100 days before fermentation, and the wine spends years in French tonneaux and large Slavonian casks. Expect violet, plum cake and black cherry with raisin, liquorice and tobacco on a dry, firmly structured palate.
