Altarol

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, medium acidity, dry

Corte Figaretto is a family estate between Poiano and Quinto in the Valpantena, the valley just north of Verona. Altarol, named after the family's local church, is its Valpolicella Valpantena: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara, Oseleta and Croatina, fermented with native yeasts and raised in stainless steel, at about 13% alcohol. It is dark ruby with violet glints, with cherry, plum, blackberry and an intense violet perfume, the signature of the valley. Dry, fresh and supple, it is made for drinking young.
