Tasting profile
Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry
Patrono is Ramaddini's flagship: an organic Nero d'Avola Riserva from the Noto DOC in south-eastern Sicily, the grape's home ground, aged about a year in oak tonneaux before further rest in bottle. Ripe red cherry and plum with orange peel, rose and a warm thread of carob and sweet spice. Broad and full-bodied but fine-grained, with the extra wood ageing of the Riserva giving it more structure and longer life than the estate's younger reds.
Serving: Serve at 16–18 °C.
