Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, medium acidity, dry

Plaimont's AOC Saint-Mont red blends fruit from the appellation's three soils (calcareous clay, variegated clay and tawny sands), which gives the cuvée its name. It is mostly Tannat, with Fer Servadou (Pinenc) and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged about 12 months in barrel. The result is deep-coloured and firm, with kirsch and blackberry fruit and vanilla oak.
