Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, medium acidity, dry

Greenock lies in the north-western Barossa, where iron-rich soils give Shiraz a distinctly mineral, ferrous edge beneath the fruit — a different register from the valley's sweeter southern sites. Blackberry and dark plum with cracked pepper, dried herb, dark chocolate and that iron-and-blood savour. Full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannin and a long finish. Made in the estate's low-intervention manner: hand-picked, wild-fermented, unfined and unfiltered, and aiming for detail rather than sheer power.
