Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry
An everyday Piemonte DOC Dolcetto sold under the Enzo Bartoli label, a Piedmont range bottled by the MGM Mondo del Vino group. The grapes come from calcareous clay soils, are picked in mid-September and fermented in stainless steel with no oak, keeping the wine fresh and fruit-led. It shows Dolcetto's typical black cherry, blackberry and plum with a violet lift, soft, gently grippy tannins and the grape's faint bitter-almond finish, at about 13% alcohol. A straightforward weeknight red for pasta, pizza and salumi.
