Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, high tannin, medium acidity, dry

Les Hautes Garrigues is Domaine Santa Duc's top Gigondas, from old Grenache with a share of Mourvèdre on the high, sandy and stony terraces of the estate's best sites, now farmed organically and biodynamically by Benjamin Gras. It is powerful yet fresh: kirsch and blackberry with garrigue herbs, liquorice, pepper and a leathery depth, on firm, ripe tannins. It needs several years and ages for well over a decade.

Serving: Serve at 16–18 °C.
