Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, low tannin, high acidity, dry

Cul du Brey is Domaine de la Tournelle's Arbois Chardonnay from a limestone-scree site, biodynamically farmed since 2007, cropped at about 30 hl/ha and made without additives: native yeasts, fermentation in tank then 228-litre used barrels, and at least 24 months on fine lees without sulphur. Delicate white-fleshed fruit, pear and lemon over a pronounced flinty, chalky minerality, with a hazelnut note and a long, tensile finish.
