Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

La Dame Voyageuse is a Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Domaine de la Mordorée, the Delorme family's organically farmed estate in the southern Rhône. It is about 90% Grenache from old vines, with small amounts of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Vaccarèse and Counoise. Most of it is raised in stainless steel and a small share in used oak, which keeps the fruit in front. The estate makes it as the more approachable partner to its long-ageing La Reine des Bois. Expect kirsch and red berries with garrigue, pepper and liquorice on a generous, warm frame, with tannins that are ripe rather than severe.

Serving: Serve at 16–18 °C.
