Héritage Royal

Tasting profile

Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry

A Grenache-led southern Rhône red from Cellier des Princes, the cooperative at Courthézon near Châteauneuf-du-Pape, bottled as IGP Principauté d'Orange (Vaucluse). Syrah and smaller parts of Caladoc and Carignan join the Grenache. The wine is cherry-red with violet tints and opens on cherries and blackcurrant, with dark fruit, a peppery, herbal southern edge and tart red fruit on a supple, medium-bodied palate. It is an everyday table red made for drinking within a few years of the vintage.
